This bowl, hand crafted from Arkansas sweet gum, has a very pleasing shape to the eye and touch.  A knot along one side adds natural interest.  Sweet gum is relatively light weight with a smooth, tight grain.  The interior and exterior both exhibit the ogee shape, and the rim has a slight bow to it from the natural drying process of the wood.  The finish is food-safe, so you can use the bowl to serve your guests with confidence.
