The petite rice bowl is a perfect choice for a delicate side dish, nuts or candies.  The ash for this bowl was sourced in the artist's back yard in Collierville, TN and grew from a seedling his son received on Arbor Day in school.  The outside is dyed with India ink and the inside is dyed with a red-orange acrylic ink.  Many thin coats of spray laquer give the bowl a durable gloss finish while allowing the grain to come through.
