This spectacular platter measures nearly 12 inches in diameter. The bottom surface has a traditional platter contour while the upper surface is gently concave from edge to edge and features a decorative groove near the rim. The very hard and durable wood shows great contrast in its swirling grain coloration. The black region on the bottom represents a location where carpenter ants formed a hollow in the tree, and the natural drying process of the wood left the rim slightly wavy. The platter is finished with food grade products, so you can serve with confidence at your next party.
