This beautifully proportioned Bradford Pear bowl displays very prominent flame cross-grain patterns.  The flame shines and seems to move as you rock the bowl in the light, and its pattern is apparent in a wave on the surface that developed as the wood fully dried.  Bradford Pear wood is very dense and smooth.  The wood was sourced in Germantown, TN from a landscaping project.  The interior of this bowl is dyed black with India ink and the entire bowl is finished in multiple coats of Tung Oil Finish and polished with carnauba wax.  This piece just invites guests to pick it up and explore its contours.
