Crafted from a large River Birch tree in Western Tennessee, this bowl displays contrasting grain patterns of heartwood and sapwood.  The natural drying process has left the bowl with an oval shape and a symmetrically cupped edge, adding a unique charm to the piece.  It is finished in food-safe mineral oil and beeswax.  It's size, at over 14 inches in diameter, makes it perfect for tossing a salad for a large group or stirring up your favorite bread recipe.
