This  Western Tennessee Willow Oak bowl features a gently sloping rim and a rounded, bowl-shaped interior.  The natural drying process gave the rim a wavy surface.  The oak's gorgeous grain was brought out by the colorful finish, achieved using a first coat of amber dye followed by a coat of cinnamon dye.  (The photos of the top and bottom of the bowl depict the true color.)  The bowl is protected with a top coat of Tung Oil Finish and a Carnauba wax polish.
