Careful craftsmanship has created a bowl so thin, light can shine through it.  The maple wood itself features beautiful color striations.  Although the thickness tapers to only a millimeter or two near the edges, the wood is not especially fragile and is strengthened by the penetrating finish.  The delicate bowl is like a feather, weighing a mere two-tenths of a pound.  As such, it is bound to be a conversation piece on any display table or shelf.
